64 Belvedere police car

Postby MOPAR_AMC_FAN » Thu Dec 05, 2013 9:17 am

Okay, I know what you're thinking and I agree. I'm usually not into police cars when someone has a four door that they don't know what to do with, so they make it into a police car "clone". But there's something about this one. Maybe it's because it was a real police car, not sure. BUT, throw some late model cop car rims and caps on there, stuff a 440 into it (with a BB push button trans, of course)... Could be fun!

Aww man. I have heard about that car, I work in East Brookfield and grew up in North Brookfield.
I'm not positive it was a real cop car originally, I think it might have been built in the 80s-early 90s as an exhibition car for the department, but don't quote me about that. I'm going to ask my father about it since he's lived in North Brookfield and worked in East most of his life. He'll know who to ask if he doesn't know.

I will agree about police car "clones" though. Generally not a fan. Don't ruin a good clean 4 door like that...

Darn though, 2 grand? Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me.

Cool! Definitely put on the period correct dog dish hub caps. The way the paint is faded is neat looking.
