If you don't mind me asking ? How are you planning on doing the metal damage ? Maybe a heat gun ?

I plan to remove the panels, replace them with panels formed from aluminum, paint, then damage.

I don't like the lack of control with heat and don't think heat damage looks that realistic.

Yeah see ? That's why , when it comes to building these models , "You the Man !" :D If I remember the movie right , they hit a farm truck . You should think about building the truck to . So when it's done and you set the stage , you can have that on the side of the road .

Yeah, but finding a truck kit to start with in that scale is virtually impossible. It would be a massive scratch building project and I'd rather focus on the car.

I'm surprised that they don't make a 62 long bed C10 model . Normally anything wearing a bow tie is reproduced . At least were the real thing is concerned . It's us Mopar guys that have to hunt for stuff .

1/16 scale is a whole different animal than 1/25 scale.
