MA Mopar Business Cards

Postby Sneke_Eyez » Tue May 14, 2013 11:01 am

Alright, the first of many things in the works for site promotion are MAMopar business cards.

Right now I'm thinking of going as cheap as possible, and that is the VistaPrint route, with their offer of 250 cards for free.

So I took a few minutes to design a quick business card on one of their free templates and this is what I came up with:

What do you guys think?
Any suggestions?
Remember, with vistaprint's free cards, you can't move the text around, change colors, or change font sizes.
Eventually I'd like to get something fancier done, but I thought these would do for now...

I'm planning on putting the order through today or tomorrow so I can start sending them out to you guys soon.
Flyer comes next, and I'm working on that!

It would be nice if we could make it a little more snazzy. What about the club logo or a car?

Also, do you want to list the makes? As written, will we offend the AMC crowd?

If you have a Mopar, surely you know it's a Mopar.

Rick, that would be awesome. Let me know!

I'd prefer some with the club logo or a car, or even a Mopar M, but once you move into those options, they aren't free anymore.
I was going to do a couple of free 250 card orders from Vistaprint and then send them out in stacks of 25 or 50 to you guys.

I also guess I wasn't really sure it it was the case that people always knew they were driving a Mopar, and I was intending to slap these on nice modern Mopars I find too... the more the merrier. I'm fine with adding AMC to the list as well, don't want to turn away those guys!

If the consensus is that the free cards aren't cutting it because they aren't snazzy enough, I'll pay for some of the "premium" ones instead.

If we go the free card route, can people each place their own "free" order?

Yep, but you'll have to set the card up yourself. Not a hard process, just an extra step that some people might not want to undertake.

One thing. We may want to change "Car Club" to "Internet Group" as I believe that was one thing Ted was big on; that we weren't a car club per se, just a group of Mopar enthusiasts getting together on the web and occassionally at a cruise in or track event. I could be wrong, though...

I think you're right on Ted 's perspective.

Although, the more we meet and do stuff live, is it really only an Internet group? I don't know. Maybe that's a topic to kick around. I'm sure people will have opinions one way or the other.

Interesting. I did not know this, I apologize. I am slightly confused, though, at the significance of calling it a car club versus calling it an internet group.
This brings into question some of the things Dave mentions, which is, if we start getting together every now and again, isn't it technically a car club?
Also, isn't an internet group devoted to cars technically a car group, which could also be called a car club?

I'm not against calling it an internet group and I do not want to walk away from Ted's vision, but what do you guys think?

I guess I'm inclined to call it a car club mainly because that is what I think of it as...

I think either of the Mikes will be able to offer some context.
