The Supercar Races and FAST Races are "stock" or "stock appearing" (or F.A.S.T. - Factory Appearing Stock Tire) cars. I say that in quotes as there is a little leeway for mods, but not a ton. The cars need to mainly look stock. I'm hoping to try the "stock" class in SOMETHING this year. I'd love to try the other class, but I hear it can get pricey. 9s and 10s on stock-size Polyglas tires, though. Wow!

I'm glad this thread is here.

I'm interested in making this work.

Nobody said it would be easy.

On the subject of the site's appearance and where events happen:
People getting upset about the states in the title, that's just because I forgot to put Rhode Island in.
I wish someone had said something... I'm not perfect. I made a mistake and forgot to put it in.

I own the damn domain name and I live on the South Shore.
I don't understand what the hangup is on where things happen.

Things should happen all over the place. Come or don't come if you aren't close enough.
Don't get salty over the idea of things happening where you don't want to go, though.
Participate anyway by getting things going in your area.

If you have Mopar people near you, get things going there with those people.
Letting people say, "Well, it doesn't include me" is accepting something that is ridiculous.
We accept everyone. And if you are hung on the states in the title, you've got your priorities messed up.

Have a show in your area and make it sponsored by NEMMC.
I'd be happy to help you do that. That's the only way the club will get noticed.

If you have Mopar people near you, get things going there with those people.
Letting people say, "Well, it doesn't include me" is accepting something that is ridiculous.

On the subject of South Shore Mopars:
This was supposed to be a group of people covering ALL of New England.
That includes the South Shore.
I am not sure why it doesn't include South Shore Mopars, but apparently there is some kind of bad blood left over between them and NEMMC from way back?
Not sure why that matters. Are we a motorcycle gang or something?
South Shore Mopars has their own thing going. They are apparently comfortable with it.
I'm not going to try to mess that up. I respect them for that.

On the subject of Jeff and his show:
I think Jeff put in work to have a show at his house and it is very unfair to characterize him as being "Northern" exclusive.
Nobody had to go to his show just because he was in NH, but he did have one.
Regretfully, I didn't make it. I don't remember why, I'm not going to make up excuses.
I just couldn't do it and that's that.

Jeff is a good guy and as passionate about this as anyone else and should be commended for it, not maligned.

Final thoughts:
It seems like we're just looking at the idea of a "New England" area club not being able to work because people want everything close to them.

But I say instead that we need to cut the whining and focus on our mission.
Don't allow people to slander a site they haven't ever even introduced themselves on.
Don't let people say, "Well, they only have events in X" when we've only had one event!

We need to get something off the ground here if we want to make this club anything.
But I keep saying that, and no one posts.

I could post sometimes (I come on here sometimes 15-20 times a day for a couple of seconds), but the motivation isn't there when it doesn't seem like anyone is listening.

So post. And plan. Look forward to summer and cruising.
And we can hopefully get it going.

Well said Ryan! We can make this work, we just have to keep at it. Show season will be coming up shortly and I`ll try and get my buddy to work on a more professional looking logo ( he has a graphics art degree and Pro Photoshop ) and if anyobody else can do one we`ll pick the best one for the club. We can then get flyers made to handout at cruises and shows, we may have to hand out 3,000 flyers to get 30 new members but that`s 30 members we don`t have now. I also want to get a hold of Rick and see if we can plan an all Mopar show this year, he was willing to do it last but it was just too late to plan, if we start now we can get the word out and hopefully have a decent showing.

Would it be worth sending out an e-mail to all the members asking them to come here and post? Maybe we could get a few of them back?

I can do that - we had a lot of interest when the changeover happened and I emailed everyone.

The problem seems to be getting people to stick around.

They come online for a few minutes 1 time and then leave again.

Maybe we can get some new posts going to help keep there interest. I`ll get some pics of the Duster as I`m installing a new quarter panel.

Don`t forget the Facebook page also. I`d love to see this place more active but a lot of people have gone to posting on FB a lot more and web sites less. For those worried about privacy you can always create an alter ego/alias and no one will know who you really are.
