Site Logo

Let's have a logo discussion!

We need a new site logo. Obviously reusing MassMopar's logo won't do.
New site, new logo!

I can contact some graphic designers I know and have something simple made up for a small fee.

Or, alternatively, if someone has some experience and wants to tackle the design of a logo, that would be great.

I have attempted to design something and I do not have the time to devote to it right now.
I could probably get something done during the winter, but I want a new logo done before that.

Also, please feel free to discuss what you'd like to have for a logo.

We will likely have some club decals made up in its likeness, for application on cars, toolboxes, whatever!
I will also likely have some decals made up with the site URL on them.

One proposed idea was this by our own Torredcuda:

This is a play on the old logo and is something had talked about doing to update the old logo when we started the new club.
I'm a big fan.

If I have a graphic designer I know do it, I'm not sure if they can get something that complicated done for short money, but I will certainly ask.

I agree on the need but have been traveling extensively for work.

I like the idea of a logo that had an element of motion to it. That's exciting to me.

Here's some context on motion. I'm not suggesting we duplicate this picture, but I adapted it from a graphic I saw on a Mopar website years ago.

I print these ovals out, sign and date them, then spray mount them to the bottoms of the car dioramas that I build.

Just food for thought to help get creative juices flowing.

Ok, I'm going to find someone to rough out a couple of logos for us.

I don't know how long it will take, but I should have something to show soon.

I know this is old news, but if we're still thinking of a logo, how about the above rendering (or some facsimile) with the Northestern states behind it so people know that were not just MA. I'd possibly even go so far as to include NY and CT. Just have lines to define the states. That way, people could see their state and realize it's included in the group.
