MassMopar Winter Meet-ups

Postby Sneke_Eyez » Mon Jan 06, 2014 11:09 am

Hey guys, Dave and I have been talking about trying to get together a couple of times this winter to plan some shows this summer. We're shooting for two, one in the early summer and one in the fall. As everyone has probably seen, we attempted to get a show together for early October, but it just didn't work out, mostly due to an attempt on my part to do it all.

Instead, we'd like to have a meet up and get some member participation in preparing to set the shows up, and then meet up at least once more to finalize things.

It would also just be nice to get together as a group to catch up during these dull winter months.
Talk about cars, upcoming summer shows, whatever.

I propose at least one meetup at Hungry Coyote, 580 Park Ave, Worcester, MA 01603.
Worcester seemed to be a decently accessible place for all of us last winter, and I'm up for a place that looks to have good burgers, good wings, and Wiley E. Coyote as its mascot!

As for some proposed dates, what about Saturday, February 1st, and Saturday, March 1st?

All sounds good to me, I am willing to help out in some way if I can. If anybody cares I will be working Feb 1st but March 1st is ok for me.

Of course we care!
I'd like to have as many people at the meet up as possible.
So, how about we try for the following weekend, then, Saturday, February 8th?
Can you make that, Mike?

I'm out for the beginning of Feb. MAYBE the 8th, but I have to have more surgery on my knee on Monday, so I'm down and out for at least a couple or so weeks. I could do March 1st, but if you have one before then, that's okay with me. I'll stay in the loop.

Thanks for all the hard work, guys!

I'm in.

Coyote's site says they're open from 11AM to 1PM on Saturdays. I'll double check.

It's a type-o. They're open Saturday at 11AM and go through 1AM Sunday.

If we expect a decent size group, I recommend that we give them a heads up a few days before so they can plan accordingly.

I can't make the 8th I work 7am-9pm on the 1st, 8th, and 15th of February. I will NOT be working Saturdays on February 22nd, March 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd. I also work one Sunday a month if we switch the date to a Sunday. If we need to leave me out to make it work I'll catch up with some of you guys at the Model show in Taunton hopefully.

Alright, well, Saturdays seemed to be the day of choice when we talked last year. Obviously not everyone was with us last year, but Sundays tend to be busy for people, so I thought we'd try to stick with Saturday.
So far we've got me, Dave, Mike360, and maybe Brian if we meet up on Saturday the 8th.
What about others? Bueller?
