I didn't read of it specifically, but I figured as much because I also get Popular Hotrodding (or did, because it has ended publication as of September) and had heard that Johnny Hunkins was taking over Mopar Muscle.

I just got the most recent issue of Mopar Muscle, but I haven't read any of it yet - does he talk about it in his Editor's Column?

I don't know if I'll really miss him much, he didn't wow me as editor at all, now if E-Booger was ousted at Mopar Action, then I'd be calling in the troops for a revolution!

Apparently some media giant is consolidating.

I just noticed this in my latest issue of Mopar Muscle. Bolig out, Hunkins in. Sad. I like Randy's normal-guy editorials. Seemed like a true regular car guy. Not that Hunkins is bad, but he seems a little more "corporate" if you know what I mean. I think it's even more sad that all those car mag titles are gone now. :(

The magazine as we know it is a dying breed. It's only a matter of time before they are gone and replaced by web magazines. It's cheaper, easier, and faster to print for them to do it online, not to mention the whole "green" aspect. Newspapers are following the same trend. It's not a trend I'm personally comfortable with but there's nothing I can do to stop it.

Newspapers started the trend. I was in that industry 15 years ago. They've been limping along for a long time.

Page count is down in Mopar Muscle. It won't be long before it folds, I bet.

Yes anything online is easier to access nowadays. I only get the mags when at a major show to get the shirts from hot chicks. LOL.

I have big boxes of magazines taking up space in the basement, will have to toss them at some point. Take up valuable space.

The last issue was 74 pages. Down from 82 the month before.

I don't plan to renew.

Eh, I thought it was an ok issue, the 8 and 3/4 refurb was relevant to my interests, what with an 8 and 3/4 that has been out of its Roadrunner home since the 70s taking up space under a snow pile next to my deck.
I dunno if I'll renew, but we'll see.

I just bought the Mopar Action Tech Special set of 8 issues on CD from E-Booger on Ebay.
Figure reading through some of his old tips and tricks is worth spending $25 on.

I used to get them all but now only subscribe to MCG and Mopar Action. I`m not a big fan of some of the feature cars in MA, both the 20" wheel, blinged out old ones and the newer stuff but the tech is good. MCG features some unique/ different option cars and has all the ads which is decent.
