I agree, have had great success with them. They are cheaper on some things but prefer to support the local parts store when I can.

I like Rockauto, too. The only problem I have with them is the shipping costs. You'll find a small part (like a gasket) for $5.00 and shipping will be $10.00. I usually compare Rockauto with Amazon since I'm an Amazon Prime member and shipping is free. I probably should use local stores more often...

6 of 1 or half dozen of the other! It seems no mater who you use these days it can go good or bad!
Long gone is the day where you can stroll into parts stores and find competent help.
If at all possible I like looking stuff up on my own and if the stars align I have a usable part show up.

I say that because a good portion of the time the QC is on vacation and everyone between them and me is blind!
Ever get a strut delivered with the rod sticking out of the box bent almost 90°? I have and still don't understand why it was accepted by Advanced Auto and passed on to their driver to deliver to the shop.

I also get tired of calling for an O² sensor and an hour later they deliver a ball joint. It said Ball joint on the box and O² on the slip. How hard is it to pay attention?
I sense being on the cusp of the Zombie Apocalypse! :?

I aways try to use the local guys but none of them even had the part listed, and the dealer wanted $50.00 more plus tax, then what I paid for the part shipped :D :D :D

I'm not loyal to any of the companies. I use my local speed shop, parts shops, and Summit mainly.

I use Advance with the online coupons, Amazon (I'm a Prime member as well) or Rockauto for nearly everything.
Rockauto has a great search engine that allows you to search out parts and part #s, and then I use those on Amazon or Advance's website.

There aren't any local parts stores I know of in the Dedham area, and I used to support the one that was in the Brookfield area, but they closed down last year. Now I just shop where I get the best prices. (Like the $136 radiator I bought on Friday night for $86 at Advance!)

Summit couldn't get me a head gasket for my 2.5L 93 Daytona, but strung me along with backorder BS for a couple of months. Mancini got the part within a week.
I decided to get a spare head gasket and bolts, since these cars are fading away fast, and Year One has had the bolts on backorder for * 7 MONTHS *! Head bolts! They send me a postcard about every 2 months saying they're still working on it, and they spam me almost daily with email ads, but can't get a set of bolts.

Rockauto is great, but, as said, shipping is expensive. The parts are good, though, and only once did they send the wrong fit.
