Sneke_Eyez's 1969 Dodge Coronet Deluxe Wagon

Alright, here she is, in all her extreme project car glory!

Got her for cheap, which is good, because she needs a fair amount of work. It looks like a ton from the pics, I'll admit.

But, hey, I needed a project, right?

Goal is to get her on the road by Spring 2014. We'll see if I can thrash enough to make that happen.

Here are the first pictures I took, of her headed off to my parents from the seller's place:

Here are some more pictures, taken at the beginning of December:

Gate is pretty good, not perfect, and I still haven't had the time to get the window to go down so I can open it:

Roof is good:

Window corners have some bubbles:

The torsion bar crossmember is what you're looking at here, this is pictures of both ends I think, though they almost look the same, so:

Here's the cargo hold floor:

And the spare tire well, or, well, what was once the spare tire well:
Image

Lovely, lovely quarters:

Fenders are gar-booge, mostly at the front:

Motor runs like a top, though, when the carb is happy! Has a manifold leak something fierce, though.
Image

So, this will prove my ignorance, but try to help me learn:
This is the tranny, and its not the same pan as my Dart or my other Coronet. Does this mean this is a smallblock 727?
Image

And is this an 8 & 3/4? How do I tell?

So far, I picked up a K&N Air Cleaner and a four year old Edelbrock 600 from CL for dirt cheap. I'm keeping my eyes on CL for additional deals.

Other than that, I'm going to get to work on the car this weekend!

Thanks Jeff!

I dunno what the color is called, but I'm loving it.
It'll definitely stay this color!

Is there a six pack or Hemi scoop in it's future?

You know, Dave, I don't know.
For now, there's a whole lot of metalwork in its future.

After that, we'll see if I pick a theme. I'm definitely a resto-mod kind of guy, so that's probably what it'll lean towards.

I'm thinking either cop wheels or magnum 5's would look killer on it .

22'' wheels are not resto-mod, they're hanus.
Nothing bigger than a 20 belongs on any muscle car, and you've gotta do some serious convincing to me that anything bigger than an 18 is really worth it.

And with wheels, I usually like to stick to older school styles. Torque Thrusts are my favorites. Keystone Klassics are another good style.

I've got a set of Magnum 500s (Ford ones) that came on the Dart and I'm just not a big fan. We swapped them out for some Torque Thrust look-alikes and they look good and were pretty cheap.

I also have a set of Cop wheels on my other Coronet that could make their way to this car.
For now, the steelies will stay, but the hubcaps will probably come off and I'll put some dog dishes on there if I can find some for not a whole lot of $$.

I think if you could find a set of Keystone's that would look wicked on it ! Maybe with a little deeper off set for the rear .
