Door Lock Striker Plate/Catch/Latch

Postby Sneke_Eyez » Mon Apr 25, 2016 10:00 am

I replaced the hinges on the wagon's front doors yesterday.
The process went smoothly until I needed to adjust the driver's door striker latching assembly to line the back of the door up when it is closed.
The screws are quite stripped and I will need to drill them out or use an EZ Out to get them off.

Anyone have any idea where I can get some more?
Since they are threaded into the body, I want to make sure I have new ones that fit the thread before I go removing them.

I am willing to buy a new striker plate/striker catch/striker latch, but I can't even find anyone talking about them online, never mind find new ones!

This is the part I am talking about, but I need the screws:

Am I calling it the wrong name?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

That is the correct name. I would try a hammer and chisel around the edge of the screws to break them free, if you need a better explanation you can call me. I would do that before you try drilling, the hammer and chisel method works most of the time.

Did you try getting one out of the passenger door so you can match it up?
