I agree on the dash gauges! That and the glass where huge reasons for the purchase.

The thing with my car is that it was stripped, bondo'd and painted. And then never FULLY re-assembled. So there are so many odds and ends that are just plan missing.
Clamps, brackets, hoses. The list goes on and on, I have a strong feeling this will save me in the long run.

I would like to see this repaired and running by someone, seems a shame for a true Roadrunner to rot into nothing.

I have a home for rusted and neglected Mopars up here in Nh when you decide to get rid of it. ;) I have a soft spot for the `73-4 Satelite/ road runners, I`ve had four of them.

Sounds good to me torrecuda. I will give you first whack at it before she goes the way of craigslist.

I am a member of the Forbbodiesonly forum. I had posted in the past and got no response, it is about time for a new post.

Nice catch with the craigs list ad! Iam going to call the guy tomorrow and see if he is willing to break it down to just the k frame and ship it to me?
I would honestly pay the 150 at this point for just the k frame... been looking for a long time.

Maybe I'm missing something . I "am" over tired from all the snow I've been dealing with as well as running back and forth to the Doc's when I'm not plowing . But what's wrong with using the K frame from the parts Runner you bought ? Just asking .

The K frame from the parts car is completely useful. It could be used, but I want that as a last resort.
To remove it would require taking the engine out, and disassembling the entire front end suspension.
In an effort to keep the car salvageable and resellable it needs to be running (in my mind), I want to keep that aspect of it intact.
To put it plainly, I don't want to kill the car completely and strip it. After all it is a true roadrunner, I have a soft spot for that fact.

Most of what I am doing is a 1:1 swap from parts car to my car.

I am trying to have it both ways... which probably isn't realistic. But I am trying to take it slow and evaluate things as i go.

My hope is to snag a K frame (small or large) from craigslist or ebay and have that save a lot of work.
$150 k frame vs. 300-500$ shop labor bill to strip the parts down to the k frame.

The tipping point for the Parts car is if the engine can not be brought back to life, she will be stripped.
As of now the starter seems to be the problem...
If for instance the engine turns out it is seized or a cracked block... well then she is going to be stripped down and sold off to the last part.
