69RR Hood

Postby TOMRR » Mon Dec 22, 2014 8:43 pm

Having a hard time getting the Hood to lay down even in the front on each side of the fenders Stops turned all the way down ,All gaps are very good to the fenders and the cowl and the front of the hood are even to the front of the fenders and to the rear to the cowl. Have elongate the latch holes a bit and that help some .
and it is up about 1/16 of and inch in the front on both sides the same and the hood feels very secure .
should I live with this !! My body man is not happy with this and seems a bit Baffled. :!:
Its a Hood from AMD and the Hinges also

Thanks Tom C.

Do they match the original parts that came off the car?

Aftermarket is far from perfect. My lift off hood from YO is poorly made.

Did the AMD parts exactly match the factory stock parts that came off the car? Differences could account for misalignment.

Yes they seem to match up very good. The problem was mostly adjustment and the car at one time had been hit on the pass side and some straighten out had to be done. It took some patience but in the end it came out perfect !!! :D
