Good read Ryan! Good to see you stopping in!

That is the best thing about this hobby/lifestyle. The people you meet and the friends you make. Some of my closest friends I met because of the Charger! Some friendships going on 25 years plus!

I am on nearly every day, Jeff.

Whether I get time to post is another issue, but I get on nearly every day to make sure everything is functioning properly.

Well I guess I will do another story of a past car I owned. This is a 1961 Dodge Lancer 770 that belong to a Mopar buddies father. I always liked the strange styling of these cars, and when I got a chance to buy it, I finally did. I bought it back in 2005. The car had been sitting in storage since the late 90's. I had to replace the wheel cylinders a ball joint and the heater core to get it road worthy. It had a 170 CI slant six with a 3 speed standard transmission with a floor shifter. It was a radio delete car with rubber floormat instead of carpet. My friend repainted the rust free body back around 1989/ 1990. It still looked great! The interior was original, and had a small rip in the front seat. It moved right along with it's factory 3.55 rear gears. I had to let it go back in 2013. I do miss it. It probably turned more heads then any other Mopar I owned!

That's a true Mopar guy to drive one of those. I love the 62-63 b bodies but the a bodies were a whole other story

It was so odd looking it was cool! It almost always gathered a small crowd around it at car shows and got a lot of thumbs up when driving it.

I've always thought they were weirdly cool - just like the 61-63 B Bodies.

ok, I'm going to take a shot at this. I first got into cars around 1967, my father moved us to fonda n.y. and introduced me to stock car racing at the local dirt track. i remember the 1969 fonda 500, the pace car was a yellow Daytona charger. fast forward to 1973, we're back in mass. (Wilbraham)my buddys brother has this really cool 65 gto. seams like there were a lot gto's in the area, in fact that was the first car i owned. bought a 65 off a guy from school for $200.00 400, 4spd., posi didn't even have my license yet. used to drive it up and down the dead end street i lived on and piss off the neighbors. then mopars came into my life when my buddies brother traded the gto for a 69roadrunner, ( 383, 4spd. red on red, air grabber) he took us for some wild rides in that thing. around 1975 we move to ware, ma. got my license (got rid of the gto, had issues) so my first vehicle I legally drove was a 65 ford econoline van my dad gave me. 6cylinder 3 on the tree. then one afternoon i was driving by mickys motors ( small local used car dealer known as micky mouse motors). and he"s got a new car out front, so i stop to take a look. its a 1968 charger r/t ,( now im still new to mopars and i don't know what the rt stands for.) so im checking it out then i open the hood and holy crap look at the size of that motor and right on the air cleaner 440 MAGNUM. long story short( i know to late for that) i bought it, made lots of noise, did illegle exibitions of speed with it and lost my license for 60 days with it(reckless operation of a motor vehicle) so that's how i got hooked on mopars . ive got a couple pics of the charger I"ll post them if i can find them. also had a 71 challenger, and 74 duster nothing special. once i got married and had kids i got into the ramchargers and mini- vans. so presently as most of you know i have teds 71 duster and my 74 challenger.
